K-pop girl group KiiiKiii to release new song 'To Me From Me'

Published Nov 4, 2025 03:02 pm

K-pop girl group will be releasing a new digital single titled “To Me From Me” on Nov. 4, a retro-tinged song that shares the same fictional universe with their web novel, “Dear.X.”

“‘To Me From Me” will be released simultaneously with the launch of the web novel, which will unveil all 53 episodes exclusively on Kakao Page.

Gentle melodies that evoke nostalgic memories, paired with sincere lyrics delivered through KiiiKiii’s bubbly voices, come together in the song to highlight its retro mood.

With the song, the members vividly unfold the story of five girls who suddenly find themselves transported to another world – yet still discover strength and comfort within themselves. In this way, “To Me From Me” offers a new layer of emotional depth that KiiiKiii has not explored before.

The song was produced by Epik High’s Tablo, who was behind the success of multiple hits, including “Umbrella (Feat. Younha)” by Epik High, and “Song Request (Feat. Suga of BTS)” by Lee So-ra.

The web novel, also set to premiere on Nov. 4, follows the five KiiiKiii members as they unexpectedly step into a reality-like yet unfamiliar world while listening to the same song in different places.

It portrays how they confront solitude and fear in their mission to return to the world they belong to, as well as the close-knit friendship they form along the way.

The characters in the novel were created based on the members’ personalities captured during interviews, adding a sense of realism and vitality.

“Dear.X” is written by Kimbbang, best known as the author of the original novel that inspired the hit drama “Lovely Runner,” starring Kim Hye-yoon and Byeon Woo-seok.

In addition, ‘Dear.X’ includes KiiiKiii's comments and other fan-dedicated content, along with a KiiiKiii-recorded web novel prologue and an epilogue audiobook, both scheduled for release on Nov. 12.

The latest project highlights the synergy-boosting collaboration between Kakao Entertainment’s music and story divisions. KiiiKiii, represented by the company’s music label Starship Entertainment, teams up with its story unit to create a fascinating blend of sound and text with global resonance.

KiiiKiii made their official debut with the mini-album “Uncut Gem” in March.

will.i.am Lands With a BOOM

By Jonathan Castillo

.
will.i.am is more than just the guy behind some of the biggest hits of the century. He's worked on tech before. He co-founded a headphone brand that threw down some serious beats. He has an AI company, called FYI.AI. So his work with LG's xboom should come with no surprise.
“About a year and a half ago, LG approached me with the idea of collaborating on a line of speakers. Honestly, I was blown away, LG is one of the best consumer electronics companies in the world. I’ve always been a fan,” he shared.
"I use LG products in my own home, the TVs, the washer and dryer, the fridge, all of it. So when they walked into my studio and said they wanted to work together, I even called my mom to tell her, and she was just as excited. I’ve always had a deep love for Korea and have collaborated with amazing artists like CL, the queen of K-pop,” he explained. “So the idea of working closely with a Korean brand like LG on a project that merges tech, sound, and design was something I couldn’t pass up. I’m truly over the moon about it.”
LG Philippines’ Product Director for Media Solutions, Yongwoo Park said: “We are honored to welcome a global icon, an individual who has made an extraordinary impact not only in music but also in advocacy, championing access to creative and technological education for underserved students in Los Angeles,” he said. Mr. Park added that will.i.am’s vision was key, noting, “This partnership embodies LG’s mission to create innovations that go beyond functionality, inspiring people to live, create, and connect in meaningful ways.”
The LG introduces the xboom crew as:
The xboom Stage 301: The karaoke king of the group. It has a 6.5” woofer and 2.5” midrange drivers. This comes with mic controls.
The xboom Bounce: The compact cannon with surprisingly beefy bass.
The xboom Grab: The sleek, grab-and-go tube for life on the move.
The xboom Buds: For when you need to tune out the world with crisp, noise-canceling sound.
"I pay attention to so many details, what’s the experience? What’s the box fabric? Can you feel the ink on the print?” will.i.am said. “What key should all the sounds be in? The experience is everything, from the first touch to the first sound,” he said. “There has to be a cohesive experience throughout.”
“The only product out of the four that’s really built for musicians is the xboom Stage — and it’s my favorite,” will.i.am said. “It has an aux jack, so if you’re making beats or singing on the go, this is studio quality. I use it when I’m working on music in the studio, and even as a sound reference when I travel.”

Globe warns vs online offers for SIM registration assistance

by Jonathan Castillo

Globe cautions its customers against offers of SIM registration assistance online and advises them not to share personal information to protect their data security and privacy.

There are already reports of individuals taking advantage of the SIM registration requirement. They offer their services through social media either for free or for a fee and request the name, photo, valid ID, birthday, cell phone number, and address of SIM users.

Such personal information, when in the wrong hands, may be used to impersonate their owners, access their accounts, steal money or other fraudulent activities. Identity thieves may also open accounts in another person’s name, run up debt, or commit crimes, causing damaged reputation and financial problems.

“We want to remind our customers to be wary of these types of offers and to only use official channels for their SIM registration,” said Irish Salandanan-Almeida, Globe Chief Privacy Officer. “Your personal information is valuable and we urge you to protect it from those who may want to use it for unlawful purposes.”

Instead of seeking help from unknown individuals, customers may register their SIMs for free at https://new.globe.com.ph/simreg. Registration through the GlobeOne app will also start later this month. They may also ask a trusted family member or friend for assistance.

Starting February 2023, Globe will also have assisted registration sites for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, pregnant women, and users of basic or feature phones. The list of Globe’s registration sites will be announced through our official websites in the coming weeks.

There are 87.9 million SIMs under the Globe network. So far, over 7 million have registered.

To make the SIM registration process accessible and convenient for all, the company is offering multiple channels for registration. Customers are encouraged to take advantage of these options and complete their SIM registration before the deadline on April 26, 2023 to avoid the risk of SIM deactivation.

The SIM Registration Act, which requires mobile phone users in the Philippines to register their SIMs with their service providers, is being implemented to address the growing problem of fraudulent activities enabled by anonymous SIM use.
