Bitte beachten Sie, dass wegen der biometrischen Daten (u.a. Fingerabdrücke) nur noch vollständige Anträge auf Ausstellung vorläufiger Reisepässe und Kinderreisepässe – nicht jedoch Anträge für Europapässe – entgegengenommen werden können.

Leider können Visaanträge in Davao City nicht gestellt werden. Die Visaabteilung in Manila ist nicht mit der USEP in Davao vernetzt. Bitte haben Sie Verständnis, dass aus diesem Grunde auch Fragen zu einzelnen Visaanträgen nicht beantwortet werden können.

Für eine erfolgreiche Bearbeitung Ihres Anliegens (z. B. Beglaubigungen etc.) setzen Sie sich bitte rechtzeitig zwecks Vorbereitung der Urkunde mit der Botschaft in Verbindung (vw-1@mani.diplo.de).

Der Botschaft liegen z.Z. keine Informationen vor, dass in den vom Taifun betroffenen Gebieten deutsche Staatsangehörige unter den Opfern sind.

Humanitäre Hilfe, auch aus Deutschland, läuft an.

Anfragen zum Verbleib philippinischer Staatsangehöriger können an die Hotline des NDRRMC gerichtet werden( +63 2 911 1406 oder +63 2 912 2665).

Bitte unterrichten Sie die Botschaft umgehend, wenn Sie Informationen über deutsche Staatsangehörige haben, die in Not geraten sind.

The German Ambassador For the Philippines/Der deutsche Botschafter auf den Philippinen

is 

During my last Manila trip I got the chance to meet German Ambassador for the Philippines, Dr. Joachim Heidorn in the Embassy in Makati City/Manila. He took a lot of time allowing me to talk with him about "God and the whole world" - as a saying goes...

Dr. Heidorn is indeed a incredible statesman.

He was born in Hanover, Lower-Saxony in 1951, is married and has three children. He received his Ph.D. in Political Sociology in the University Marburg.

Dr. Heidorn stayed in several countries in the past, i.e. in the German Embassy London - as Deputy Head also in the German Embassies in Tripoli, Colombo (Sri Lanka) and Riad (Saudi Arabia). As he told me: Colombo was his most challenging time so far.

From 2008 till 2011 Dr. Heidorn became German Ambassador in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Since October 2011 he appointed in the Philippines.

Yes, it has been his wish to stay in the Philippines as German Ambassador. Long time ago he has been visited the Philippines as a tourist and fell in love to this tropical nation and its people. His family and he are feeling very well here and are well established already. 

Dr. Joachim Heidorn likes diving, the Beatles and reading. His favourite books is Thomas Mann's "Buddenbrooks".

The funds for its programme are provided by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development, which aims its giving junior executives an opportunity to attend such degree courses.

The typical scholarship holder will come either from a public authority or state or private company and as such be engaged in the planning and execution of directors and projects with emphasis on development policy having a bearing on technogicial, economic or social areas. 

Applicants should be submitted to any of the following:

- Application to the German Embassy Manila no later then July 31, 2011;

- Or, application to the DAAD Head Office no later then August 31, 2011;

- Or directly to the university no later then October 15, 2011.

Die bisherige Deutschenliste wurde bereits 2009 abgeschafft. Ihre Daten, die auf der manuell gefuehrten Krisenvorsorgeliste registriert wurden, koennen leider nicht mehr uebernommen werden.

Die Aufnahme in die Krisenvorsorgeliste erfolgt nur noch passwortgeschuetzt im on-line Verfahren.

Die elektronische Registrierung ersetzt die bisher manuell gefuehrte Krisenvorsorgeliste der Botschaft/und-oder des naechsten Generalkonsulats. Es wird gebeten, Ihre Daten bald ueber das Internet einzugeben, auch wenn Sie bisher schon registriert waren. Sie werden ausserdem kuenftig automatisch in regelmaessigen Abstaenden aufgefordert werden, Ihre Angaben zu bestaetigen bzw. zu aktualisieren. Damit sollen Vollstaendigkeit und Aktualitaet der Registrierungen im Sinne einer wirksamen Krisenvorsorge und -bewaeltigung sichergestellt werden. Bitte beantworten Sie daher die Ihnen automatisch zugehenden Anforderungen deshalb in Ihrem eigenen Interess

Und hier eine gute Nachricht: das Auswaertige Amt Berlin hat die Finanzierung eines Laptops in Aussicht gestellt, wonach ein Passantrag nach den neuen biometrischen Vorschriften dann auch wieder in Davao City and Cebu City moeglich sein wird. Sobald der Laptop in Manila eingetroffen ist, duerfen wir Herrn Mueller dann erneut in Davao City und Cebu City begruessen. Hoffentlich bald... .

Seit dem 1. November 2007 ist ein neues Passgesetz in Kraft, wonach neben dem biometrietauglichen Foto auch zwei Fingerabdruecke auf einem Chip gespeichert werden muessen. Hiervon sind alle Antragsteller ab vollendetem 6. Lebensjahr betroffen. Wegen der Idenitizierungspflicht, Unterschriftsleistung und Abnahme von Fingerabdruecken ist die persoenliche Vorsprache bei der Antragsstellung bis jetzt immer noch bei der Deutschen  Botschaft in  Manila unumgaenglich.  Hoffentlich nicht mehr lange... .

Good news for German nationals:  Hopefully soon new applications for the issuance of a German passport can be accepted in Cebu City and Davao City. The German government granted the financing of necessary equipment.
