Vina Morales has revealed that she waited 10 years before she was finally accepted on Broadway's 'Here Lies Love'.
"For those who don't know, I auditioned for Here Lies Love more than 10 years ago, and that's why our directors Alex Timbers and David Byrne are familiar with me," wrote Vina on Instagram on Aug. 22.

“For I know the plans I have for you”- this is a phrase that is carved in my heart and mind. I am still overwhelmed with how God works and for the warm welcome about my Broadway debut.
"For those who don't know, I auditioned for Here Lies Love more than 10 years ago, and that's why our directors Alex Timbers and David Byrne are familiar with me.
"When I joined the theater portraying the role of Sherrie in "Rock of Ages" by Atlantis production, a part of my dream was to be able to perform on Broadway.
"10 years later, while I was doing my Australian concert tour, I got a call from dear friends @msleasalonga and Direk @thebobbygarciaco to do a self-shoot video audition for the part of Aurora Aquino. My “coach” Lea was very kind and supportive along the process until I got accepted.
"Can you imagine more than 10 years of waiting?!? Ika nga ni Tito Boy Abunda, “Good things happen to those who wait”. This is another check off my bucket list . A dream come true indeed . I am grateful and thankful to all of you who are cheering and praying for me.
