A few hundred protesters flocked to the People Power Monument in Quezon City following the sudden burial of late President Ferdinand Marcos at the Heroes Cemetery on Friday, Nov. 18, 2016. MANILA, Philippines — An estimated crowd of 3,000 protesters gathered at night at the People Power Monument to rail against Friday's burial of the dictator the 1986 revolt expelled from power.
Groups who assembled in various parts of Metro Manila converged at the site along major thoroughfare EDSA hours after the clandestine ceremony at the Libingan ng mga Bayani, or Heroes' Cemetery in Taguig City.
