Mrs. Universe Philippines 2023 Arlene Cris Damot has no regrets about participating in the beauty pageant.

During an interview in Pasig City recently, Arlene highlighted the transformative experience that allowed her to grow personally and professionally.

Arlene, the CEO and owner of Royal Aesthetics, said she made lasting friendships and learned important life lessons beyond the competition. The stage, which once made her nervous, became a place to share her passion for advocacy and empowerment.

"After joining pageants, I learned to be an empowered woman. Joining the pageant helped me improve myself and broadened my network concerning my business," said Arlene.

The former beauty queen also said she has no plans to participate in the Miss Universe Competition, even if it now allows moms and single mothers to do so.

"My heart is for the Mrs. Universe contest. I have no plans to compete in the Miss Universe pageant," she added.

In 2024, Arlene praised the Miss Universe Organization's decision to scrap the age limit for candidates and welcome married women.

“Lifting the age requirement for Miss Universe candidates is a progressive move, allowing more women to participate regardless of age. It promotes inclusivity and celebrates women’s achievements at any stage of life,” she said.

Arlene strongly encouraged women to think about body enhancements. She believed that if these changes could make them happier and more confident, pursuing them was a good idea.

She believes that feeling good in your skin is essential. "I encourage women to explore options like cosmetic surgery, non-invasive procedures, or aesthetic treatments to help them embrace their unique beauty."

Her message was simple: Focusing on personal happiness and confidence is essential. Enhancements that help with that are a positive choice and should be celebrated.

"If it will make you feel confident, then go for it. What matters is how you think, not what other people say. If it will make you happy," she said.

Arlene mentioned that Royal Aesthetics is committed to supporting beauty pageants advocating women's empowerment. She highlighted how these events celebrate beauty and serve as platforms for women to share their stories, promote self-confidence, and advocate for social issues affecting women today.

"Through partnerships with various pageants, Royal Aesthetics aims to enhance the message of empowerment, providing resources and sponsor ships that highlight women's talents and ambitions in their pursuits," she added.
