Davao City gov't continues Phase 2 of underground cabling
In a bid to ensure the safety of Dabawenyos and to promote aesthetic and sustainable central business district, the City Government of Davao, through the City Engineer's Office (CEO) and in partnership with telcos and utility companies continues the underground cabling project which started in the year 2018.
The team completed on March 2 the clearing of a portion of Magsaysay Ave. under the city's Underground Cabling Project.
The Phase 1 of the Magsaysay Avenue cabling is from the Post Office to BFAR. The Phase 2 is from BFAR to the Unity Archway located at the end of Magsaysay Ave., fronting Magsaysay Park.
The removal of the cables is based on Ordinance No. 0152-17 Series of 2017, or The Ordinance Requiring all Telecommunication Companies, DLPC and all other persons to comply with the Underground Cabling Plan of Davao City.
The Underground Cabling Project is mandated by Ordinance No. 0177-14 Series of 2014, which initially covered the vicinity of City Hall and the Sangguniang Panlungsod building.
