After living for 37 years and having faced enough challenges and set backs, I have made my own list of habits that I like to call powerful:
- Talking to yourself: Try asking yourself the questions that you wish someone would ask you. Like how are you, are you ok, what’s wrong, hungry-angry or just tired… That’s an important part of self-care. Self care and self love go a long way in shaping your life
- Not giving a f*#@k: There are plenty that say we should speak up if we see something wrong. But in this world of citizen journalism, trolling and cyber bullying, I think learning to not pay attention to the noise is important to maintain good health and happiness. Learn to have faith in the Almighty and just carry on as if nothing happened
- Live like there is a tomorrow: What you do today has an impact on what your tomorrow will be. Understand what is sustainable. Most of us get to live for years and years. If we trash our life today, we will be sitting on a pile of trash tomorrow.
- Sticking to your decision making process: Most of us have a decision making process (if you don’t have one yet then make one). Mostly it’s, identifying goal, making a strategy to achieve it, working on the strategy and review the progress at each stage. Now, learn to apply it in everything you do.
- Pushing your limits once in a while: you may be doing just fine and you may be happy about it. But once in a while, get out of your comfort zone, do something you have never done. This teaches us to value what we have and makes us know what we are missing
