Transport groups and other organizations held a protest in Manila on Wednesday, Sept. 30, calling for the removal of excise taxes on fuel and an end to the government’s jeepney phaseout. The protest was monitored in Recto, Legarda, and Mendiola, where authorities deployed personnel and conducted area monitoring to maintain peace and order and manage traffic. Read more |
