50 areas under state of calamity; 'Habagat' to continue affecting Luzon, western Visayas over next 5 days

A total of 50 areas were already placed under a state of calamity due to the combined effects of "habagat" and tropical cyclones "Luis" and "Maymay," including 24 areas each in Central Luzon and Calabarzon, and two in Ilocos Region. The death toll also rose to 23, with 17 others injured and three still missing. The disaster has affected 4.9 million people across 10 regions. Read more
