During its media launch at Max’s Restaurant in Quezon City last Tuesday, Sarsy Grindulo Kr., one of the executive producers, and lead actor Kyle Lowder, were present via zoom.

Arsy said that getting into the film-producing industry was an unexpected turn for him.

“I got into the film industry by accident, one of my producers introduced me to her friend who’s been doing a lot of cinematic production and this is actually the first film that I am involved with, so I’m hoping to get a full support from my fellow kababayans,” he said.

Playing Hunter in the film, Kyle also shared how happy he is to be part of the film, although he will not be present on the premiere night. Kyle hopes to see the Philippines.

“The people that I got to work on this film, in front, and behind the camera are all so wonderful to work with, this movie is such a feel-good movie, that everybody that was working on it can’t help but just enjoy every minute working on it,” he also said.

Directed by Micheal Caruso, “A Mermaid for Christmas” is set to premiere in cinemas nationwide on Dec. 7. (Carissa Alcantara)
