MANILA, Philippines — One can always count on Taylor Swift to make an impact on music charts whether it is August or December, thanks to her songs bearing those months in their titles.
Such was the case for her 2020 track "August," which re-entered the Billboard Philippines Hot 100 chart at No. 77, the highest of all re-entries for the week of August 9.
A year ago when the chart was relaunched, "August" entered at No. 57, peaking at No. 46 during its eight-week stay.
Other re-entries as on the latest chart were Ariana Grande's "Twilight Zone," Robledo Timido's "Gusto Ko Sakin Ka Lang," and Eliza Maturan and Icebox's "Ikaw, Ikaw, Ikaw."
Cup of Joe's "Multo" maintains the top spot entering its 26th week on the chart. It is still followed by "Golden" from the animated film "KPop Demon Hunters" and December Avenue's "Saksi Ang Langit."
Justin Bieber's "Daisies" returned to No. 4, while Sombr's "Back to Friends" rounded out the Top 5. Sombr's peak in its 17 weeks on the chart was landing at the third spot.
The chart ranks the top 100 tracks in the Philippines using both audio and streaming data gathered and organized by Luminate.
