What are the benefits of having a predictable and planned relationship compared to a spontaneous one?
I'm unsure a generic template for everyone is feasible for this aspect of relationship dynamics. Personalities determine appeal towards spontaneity or scheduling in a way that may somehow combine, making it specific and nuanced.
Circumstances are relevant, younger people have more social opportunities and less responsibilities, spontaneity and planning can be easily effective. But older individuals, especially parents have limited availability for spontaneity.
In my relationship, weekly planning is necessary, mainly to account for working schedules. Furthermore because she comes to my place, but I'm unable to visit her, planning is extra necessary.
Our spontaneity has been infrequent, maybe it will become somehow more common while living together in the future. She's funny likes to play jokes, living will bring spontaneous, quirky moments 🤪
Neither planning or spontaneity works in every situation. Unforeseen changes require adapting, sometimes without enough time for planning which is being spontaneously decisive.
So toss your either/or avenues…
