YG Entertainment announced plans for its K-pop artists next year.
Besides announcing the return of 2NE1, YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun-suk also revealed the plans for girl groups BLACKPINK and BabyMonster, and boy band Treasure.
In a YouTube video on July 21, Yang Hyun-suk said many of YG Entertainment artists will be active next year.
“Well, next year...I can't say we have specific plans yet but I think a lot of artists will be active simultaneously,” he said.

About BLACKPINK, he said, “There will be a highly anticipated comeback from BLACKPINK and it will also be the year BLACKPINK starts their world tour.”
Last December, YG Entertainment announced that it signed contracts with BLACKPINK members for their group activities.
“YG recently signed an extension contract for BLACKPINK's group activities and agreed not to proceed with a separate additional contract for individual activities,” the agency said.
BLACKPINK members are managing their personal activities by different agencies: Lisa through LLOUD, Jennie through Odd Atelier, Rosé under The Black Label, and Jisso through Blissoo.
BabyMonster, Treasure
Yang Hyun-suk also revealed that “BabyMonster and Treasure will start their world tours.”
“At the end of this year, Winner’s Mino and Yoon will be discharged from the military. And there's AKMU too. 2NE1 will continue their global tour until next year as well,” he said.
According to him, “Our so-called ‘Next Monster’ is also currently waiting in the wings. So I'd like to introduce them to fans as well.”
“We are working hard so that many YG artists can meet with many fans. I'll do my best,” he said.
