PNP ready for BARMM’s inaugural election and Manilbela’s transport strike

The Philippine National Police (PNP) declared all systems go for the security of Sept. 14 elections in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) despite two reported violent incidents on the eve of the historic parliamentary polls. Read more

Senators on Sunday expressed high expectations on the outcome of the first regular parliamentary elections in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), which they hope would be a peaceful and orderly electoral exercise. Read more

Meanwhile, Transport group Manibela is set to hold a strike starting Monday, Sept. 14 to protest the continuing increases in oil price hikes. Police were already alerted to ensure order and safety in their protest sites. Read more
